Contrary to reports in some social media that embattled Professor Cyril Ndifon, the former dean of the University of Calabar’s Faculty of Law was kidnapped, the Department of State Services has cleared the air that the don was in their custody. Ndifon was rumoured to have been abducted by armed individuals at his residence in the Akpabuyo Local Government Area of Cross River State. Less than 24 hours after being declared wanted for failing to honor police invitation in connection with the ongoing investigation into the death of the Nigerian rapper, Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, Primeboy, is in police custody. Two brothers in Akwa Ibom State will die by hanging for killing a farmer over a parcel of land, High Court has ruled. The convicted are 48-year-old Uduak Udo Umoren, a pastor and motorcyclist and 34-year-old Emmanuel Udo Umoren, a farmer and panel beater, both indigenes of Adiasim Ikot Ekon Village in Essien Udim Local Government Area.
