The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has apprehended 303 suspected irregular migrants with Permanent Voters Cards in the Uyo metropolis following their mop-up exercise in Akwa Ibom State. Cholera outbreak in Obubura community of Nigeria’s Cross River State has left about 60 people dead and 286 hospitalised. This is barely a month after about 14 persons lost their lives respectively in Abi and Odukpani communities as a result of the same disease.
