The remains of Rev Father Isaac Achi burnt to death by unknown gunmen were buried at the St. Michael Catholic Cemetery in Bosso Local Government Areas of Niger State on Friday. Ukraine Army allegedly admitted to have decimated 760 Russian soldiers in the country in a day this week, data provided by the military showed. A total of 118,530 Russian combat losses have been recorded since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine began in February of last year, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stated in its most recent casualty report released Thursday. The Supreme Court, Friday, affirmed Senator Godswill Akpabio as candidate for the Akwa Ibom North-West Senatorial District of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the February 25 general  election. Akpabio is the immediate past Minister of Niger Delta Affairs and also an ex-Governor Akwa Ibom Governor. The Court of Appeal, Abuja Division, Thursday, described as competent and meritorious, the appeal by Akanimo Udofia, which challenged the judgment of a Federal High Court Uyo, that nullified his emergence as the Akwa Ibom APC governorship candidate for the forthcoming general elections. Judgement for the long-drawn legal battle rocking the All Progressives Congress (APC) ticket for the Akwa Ibom North-West Senatorial District election may be laid to rest by the Supreme Court on Friday,  January 20.
