Akiama Community in Bonny Local Government Area of Rivers State was thrown into mourning as a widow lost her two sons in a canal on Saturday, February 19.  The siblings, aged 10 and 7, were children of a widow, Mrs. Ogechukwu Thankgod, whose husband, a dealer in interior decoration materials, died about two years ago. Oba of Benin, Oba Ewuare II has received artefacts worth £2.5 million from President Muhammadu Buhari, 125 years after they were looted by British troops during the invasion of Benin Kingdom. The returned artefacts, comprising a cockerel (okpa) and an Oba head (Uhunwun Elao), were repatriated from Cambridge University, Jesus College, and University of Aberdeen, Scotland, respectively.
