Playwright Wole Soyinka’s drama Bro Jethro, whose central theme is religious hypocrisy and charlatanism, is playing out in Kumasi, the capital of Ghana. This follows claims by Prophet Eboh Noah, claiming God revealed to him that the world would end today, December 25, through massive flooding, which is contrary to the stance of Genesis 9: 14-15. In the drama, Bro Jethro presents himself as a devout Christian, but his actions are driven by greed, deceit, and self-interest contrasting genuine faith with the pursuit of money and comfort comparable to what Prophet Noah is encouraging by playing on the intelligence of…

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is in turmoil after Independent National Electoral Commission rejected recognising the Kabiru Turaki-led National Working Committee, citing subsisting court judgments and unresolved legal processes. Just allow people to watch. Watch the film and come back and say that this film…
Israel Umoh The journey to one of the remarkable yet neglected villages in Ukanafun Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State was joyous and lamentable. On a cloudy Monday morning, December 22, I zoomed off from my Uyo residence to Ikot Anta Eneng Ibom to share with kinsmen the joy of the festive season. Of course, there is no way you can get to the village coming from Uyo through Abak-Ikot Uboh-Ikot Akpa Nkuk Road without veering off through Ikot Ide or Ikot Obiokpoho, which is proximate to Ikot Anta. As I reached Ikot Akpa Ntuen, I became unsettled because…
