National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP), Akwa Ibom State Command, says it has rescued 12 minors after bursting a child trafficking syndicate along the Calabar-Itu Road in Itu Local Government Area of the state. No fewer than 76 persons are reportedly missing in a boat mishap in Umunnankwo community, Ogbaru Local Government Area of Anambra State. The incident, which reportedly occurred on Saturday, has thrown the community and neighbouring town into mourning as nine persons were said to have been rescued. The Court of Appeal, Abuja has ordered the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) to call off its strike immediately.
