The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has rejected payment of money as bribes but admitted payment as housing allowance to some members of its National Working Committee (NWC). At least, six of 19 members of the NWC have returned funds paid into their accounts after alleged approval by the National Chairman, Iyorchia Ayu. Enugu Catholic Diocese has lifted the ban that stopped priests and Catholic faithful from attending Adoration Ministry, Enugu led by the fiery priest, Rev. Fr. As National Examinations Council (NECO) released the 2022 Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination results, 60 per cent candidates passed in five credits in Mathematics and English Language. NECO Registrar, Prof. Dantani Wushishi, who announced the results on Thursday at NECO Headquarters in Minna, Niger State, said 727,864 candidates representing 60.74 per cent got five credits and above, including English Language and Mathematics.
