An Anglican Reverend was murdered by his son in the agrarian community of Okpare in Olomu Kingdom, Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State, on Wednesday. The priest, identified as Rev. The House of Representatives has ordered probes into the mismanaged N1.12 trillion Anchor Borrowers Scheme. It is an initiative of the Federal Government’s interventions and agricultural funding through the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN). Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project, SERAP, has called on Olayemi Cardoso, Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, to account for, and explain the whereabouts of the over N100 billion ‘dirty and bad notes’ and ‘other large sum of cash awaiting examination’ which are kept in various branches of the apex bank. Two suspected kidnappers died during a fierce gun battle between the policemen and the hoodlums in Akwa Ibom State.
