Two police officers were killed by unknown gunmen in Urua Inyang, headquarters of Ika Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State on Tuesday night, April 27. India’s coronavirus death toll has surpassed 200,000 on Wednesday, with more than 3,000 fatalities reported in just 24 hours. Few hours after the reported suspension of Channels TV by National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) over breach of broadcast code, the station is operating on its usual 24-hour transmission. Media houses reported on Monday that NBC has suspended and fined the station N5 million for interviewing Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) spokesperson, Emma Power.
