Rotary International is collaborating with traditional rulers to fight malaria, pneumonia and diarrhoea among children in Akwa Ibom State. Two children aged eight and 10 have been killed and 17 people injured when a gunman opened fire on schoolchildren attending Mass at a Catholic school in the United States, authorities say. The police chief of Minneapolis, Minnesota, said that of the people injured in the Wednesday morning attack, 14 are children and two were in critical condition. A top government official in Equatorial Guinea, Baltasar Ebang Engonga, has been sentenced to eight years in prison for embezzlement, months after he made major headlines when leaked sex tapes involving him and the wives of other officials surfaced online.
