The Anambra State Command in Nigeria has rescued four pregnant girls residing at Cool Joint Bar, Nnewi of the state. France, Germany and Italy, Monday, became the latest countries to temporarily suspend use of the COVID-19 vaccine developed by AstraZeneca over blood clot concerns. Already, Europeans countries: Ireland, Denmark, Norway and the Netherlands had suspended the jab. No fewer than seven persons including school children died while scores were injured in a fatal auto auto crash along Ikot Oku Ikono-Ekim Itam Highway in Itu Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State Monday morning, March 15. The accident which took place along Ntak Inyang village of the highway involved a petrol tanker vehicle and two tricycles that conveyed school children and some passengers. Buckingham Palace has hired the services of an external law firm to investigate claims that Meghan Markle bullied a royal staffer. In an initial statement released after trailers of Meghan and Prince Harry’s interview with Oprah Winfrey were aired, the Palace said it would investigate the claims of bullying made by the British media. Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has threatened to embark on another strike over the alleged non-remittance of some deductions made to the account of the union by the Federal Government. On December 23, 2020 ASUU conditionally suspended the strike it began on March 23, 2020, owing to the government’s failure to address the outstanding issues as outlined in the collective bargaining agreements of 2009, 2013, 2017 and 2019.
