Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria Limited has completed divested 30 per cent interest in Oil Mining Lease 17 in the Eastern Niger Delta and associated infrastructure to TNOG Oil and Gas Limited for $533 million. Two members of Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), University of Uyo in Akwa Ibom State are said to have died during the long-drawn industrial strike owing to non-payment of their salaries. Nigeria has recorded 1,867, the highest number so far in a day, bringing the overall infections in the country to 107,345. As England was placed in COVID-19 lockdown for a second time, the United Kingdom economy shrank by 2.6 per cent in November last year, official figures show.
