Nigerian Government has directed reopening of universities, polytechnic and Colleges of Education in the country. The Nigerian Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu, who announced this Friday during a press briefing in Abuja, said the decision to reopen the schools was because the COVID-19 infection figure is declining. A five-man panel of the Appeal Court has upturned the nullification of the election of Douye Diri as Bayelsa State Governor. The court held that the Bayelsa Election Petition Tribunal acted outside its jurisdiction by nullifying the election of Diri. In a unanimous judgment, the five-man panel of the court said the Advanced Nigeria Democratic Party failed woefully to show that it had a valid candidate that was unlawfully excluded by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
