The management of Omega Power Ministries (OPM) free specialist hospital says about 1,775 babies have been delivered in its facilities located in Port Harcourt, Rivers, and Ohanku community in Abia. A statement issued on Sunday by the OPM Public Relations Officer (PRO), Mr. Gogo-Ogute Isaiah, said that 549 of the deliveries were recorded in their hospital in Rivers, while 1,226 were recorded in Abia. Nigeria has confirmed 555 new COVID-19 cases, according to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC). Akwa Ibom State has recorded 13 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total number to 221. On Sunday night, the NCDC confirmed two deaths, lifting total infections in the country to 40,532 and fatalities to 858 from Friday’s figures of 39,977 and 856, respectively. Seven persons have died of COVID-19 in Akwa Ibom State since the ravaging pandemic broke out in Nigeria. Governor Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom State stated this on Saturday during a routine interactive session with the citizens aired by state-owned radio and television stations.
