A security flaw in WhatsApp, one of the most popular messaging apps in the world, allowed sophisticated attackers to install spyware on phones, the company said Tuesday, in the latest trouble for its parent- Facebook. Chukwuemeka Akachi, who was a 400-level student of the university died on Monday. A Federal High Court sitting in Uyo, Monday, affirmed the sack of member representing Etim Ekpo/Ika State Constituency in the Akwa Ibom state House of Assembly. A former Minority Leader of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, Monday, persuaded the court to suspend its judgment on a suit seeking to declare vacant, seats of 54 federal lawmakers that defected from their respective political parties prior to the 2019 general elections. Seventeen Nigerian states are rated insolvent owing to generating less than10 per cent Internally Generated Revenues (IGR) in 2018 compared to their huge collections from the Federation Account Allocations Committee (FAAC) same year, Economic Confidential published on Sunday. In its Annual States Viability Index (ASVI) on Sunday, the Economic Confidential said without the monthly disbursement from FAAC, many states are unviable, and cannot survive without the allocations, mostly from the oil sector.
