Burna Boy has made history, becoming the first African artist to surpass 2 billion streams in the United Kingdom.

This milestone is particularly significant as it marks a full-circle moment for Burna Boy, whose international acclaim skyrocketed with the viral success of the hit single “Ye” off the awarded album.

The Grammy winner received the prestigious plaque backstage at his sold-out concert.

The honor follows his sold-out concert at London Stadium where he also received a plaque for reaching 1 billion streams only a month ago.

Receiving his Brit 2 billion streams plaque, Burna boy revealed with a wide smile across his face that he fought for it.

He stated, “Thank you very much. I appreciate you. Ehen, now that’s it. You’ve to fight for your right.”

One of the presenters inferred, “You already have it. You don’t need to fight.”
And Burna boy repeated his statement, “No. You know, we have to fight for our rights.”
