The Indomitable Lions of Cameroon and the Stallions of Burkina Faso have progressed to the semifinals of the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON 2021).

After a goalless first half, Karl Toko Ekambi scored two second-half goals against Gambia to send the hosts to the final four with a 2-0 victory .

Burkina Faso have qualified for the Semi-finals of the ongoing African Cup of Nations by beating Tunisia 1-0.

Ekambi headed the Lions ahead in the 50th minute, glancing in from Collins Fai’s right-wing cross.

He scored his second of the day just seven minutes later when he finished at the back post following Martin Hongla’s low delivery.

The only goal of the game was scored by 19-year-old forward player, Dango Quattara in the second minute of the first-half stoppage time to give the Burkinabe the lead.

The Tunisians pushed for an equaliser in the second half but they found it difficult to break the Burkina Faso’s defence.

The only downside for the West African country is that they will be without their goal scorer, Quattara in the semi-final. The striker was sent off on the 82nd minute for a dangerous play on a Tunisian Player.
