In a rare move by a religious organization, Christ Embassy has ventured into automobile manufacturing with electric vehicles under Tesion brand.

Founder and President of Christ Embassy, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, unveiled a range of electric vehicles under the vehicles during The New Economy Unveiling 2026, held as part of the church’s economic and innovation-focused programme.

Pastor Bolaji Idowu described the development as evidence of the church’s growing influence beyond the pulpit.

The LoveWorld Global Fellowship had posted on Instagram three days earlier that the programme would take place on Sunday, noting that it was strictly by invitation.

Viral videos from the event, which surfaced on social media on Tuesday, revealed Oyakhilome unveiling the vehicles, including the Tsion Passion, Tsion Falcon, Vision series, Vision Coupe and OG series.

During the presentation, Oyakhilome stated that some aspects of the vehicles were still being refined, including the steering wheel design. He also explained that “OG” means “Of God.”

Reacting to the unveiling, Idowu, the founder of Harvesters International Christian Centre, thanked Oyakhilome and described the development as an example of the church demonstrating its capacity in the marketplace.

“My mind has been stretched. This is what it means to be the salt of the earth and the light of the world.

“We are not waiting for them to give us a solution. The church has come to its place; now they have no other option than to listen to us.

“We are not just preaching the gospel; we are demonstrating the ability of the Spirit, even in the marketplace,” Idowu said.

The unveiling marks a move by Christ Embassy into the electric vehicle space, with the Tsion range adding automobile development to the church’s broader focus on innovation and economic empowerment.

Recall that The Vatican (Catholic Church), and The LDS Church (Mormon Church),  invest in scientific and astronomical research via the Vatican Observatory, commercial agricultural, financial, and welfare systems, but focuses its production on food storage, clothing, and humanitarian supplies,

The Unification Church (Moonies), and Protestant/Evangelical Megachurches invest in heavy industry, business conglomerates, and manufacturing (such as Ilshin Stone and former partnerships in-vehicle components as well as high-definition broadcast media, satellite TV networks, and app development.
