Since the outbreak of COVID-19 in the country, Nigeria has so far 68,937 confirmed infections while recorded deaths are 1,180.
In its tweets on Saturday, Nigeria Centre for Disease Control reported that the country has 310 new COVID-19 cases.
Of the figure recorded in 11 states including Federal Capital Territory, FCT is leading the pack with 128 cases while Lagos and Kaduna have 86 and 26 respectively.
NCDC stated “On the 5th of December 2020, 310 new confirmed cases and 1 death was recorded in Nigeria
“The 310 new cases are reported from 12 states- FCT (128), Lagos (86), Kaduna (26), Katsina (20), Rivers (19), Oyo (7), Benue (5), Edo (5), Jigawa (5), Ogun (5), Bayelsa (2) and Kano (2).”
According to the health agency, “Till date, 68,937 cases have been confirmed, 64,650 cases have been discharged and1,180 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
“A multi-sectoral national emergency operations centre (EOC) activated at Level 3, continues to coordinate the national response activities,” it added.
