Political upset trailed Cubana Chief Priest (Pascal Okechukwu) as he lost the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election for a seat in the House of Representatives.
Cubana vied for APC’s ticket for Orsu/Orlu/Oru East Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives ahead of the 2027 general elections.
However, Canice More Nwachukwu, the incumbent for the constituency serving his second term, defeated him.
Recall that Cubana Chief Priest was appointed as Imo State director of City Boy Movement, CBM, the youth-focused support group for Tinubu’s re-election.
In another development, Hon. Nicholas Mutu has lost the direct primaries of the APC for Bomodi/Patani Federal Constituency in Delta State.
He is the longest serving Member of the House of Representatives having spent seven terms (1999 to 2027) in the Green Chambers of the National Assembly.

Rt. Hon. (Barr.) Basil Okolobaowei Ganagana is the person who beat Mutu in the race.
Hon Sir Okenmor Fidelis Tilije who was the returning officer announced the winner.
