    Delta, Akwa Ibom, Rivers lead states in N9.3trn Allocation in three years

    The Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) distributed N9.3 trillion to 36 states in Nigeria  in 43 months, during the second tenure of President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration.

    Data from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) of the 43 monthly reports of the FAAC, indicated that from June 2019 to December 2022, Delta State got the highest allocation, followed by Akwa Ibom and Rivers States.

    The NBS is yet to upload the FAAC reports for January, February and March 2023, when our correspondent checked it on Sunday.

    For the 43 months period, it was observed, Delta State got the lion share of about N843.8 billion, Akwa Ibom received about N643.2 billion, while Rivers got about N642 billion.

    Further findings showed that Sokoto State got N119.1billion, the least allocation for the three years and seven months period.

    During the period too, Osun State got N126.4 billion, the second least allocation, while Cross River State received N141.71 billion being the third lowest allocation.

    Such states as Abia, Adamawa, Anambra, Bauchi and Bayelsa received about N188.75 billion, N221.86 billion, N204.54 billion, N200.5 billion and N543.6 billion, respectively.
