For the second time in this football season, El Kanemi Warriors, Sunday, showed disrepect by humbling the visiting Akwa United 4-1 in Maiduguri, Borno State capital.
At the start of match one, El kanemi Warriors defeated Akwa United 1-0 at Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo.
In the first half of the match played on March 31, Balogun Kabir opened the score for the host- El Kanemi at the 32nd minute.
Sani Abbani increased the tally for El Kanemi at the 69th minute of the game while Godspower Aniefiok slotted in one for Akwa United to reduce the tally to 2-1 at the 79th minute of the second half.
Not done, Sunday Anthony added to the woes of the visitors- Akwa United by widening the goal margin to 3-1 at the 84th minute.
Unfortunaltely, Elu Wilson sealed the 4-1 thriller for the host- El Kanemi Warriors at the 89th minute of the match.
In the match 13, El Kanemi Warriors are topping Group B of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) with 25 points trailed by Ifeanyi Ubah FC with 24 points. Akwa United are third on the NPFL log with 22 points.
