Some soldiers fired sporadically into the air in some parts of Sokale and FO1 areas of Kubwa on Tuesday morning to disperse some #EndSARS protesters who had gathered to begin the day’s protest.
Tension rose as passers-by scampered to safety, while residents still in their houses shut their doors and windows.
Motorists on Bwari-Dutse Alhaji Road were clocked in and passengers were stranded due to the ensuing gridlock on the route.
The protesters who had erected a barricade at the Sokale roundabout and Winners road begun settling into the protest before the invasion by soldiers in three trucks.
However, hoodlums have taken over some parts of the Apo Mechanic village, attacking motorists and attempting to loot some shops in the area.
The hoodlums who had earlier attacked #EndSARS protesters the previous day were said to have been mobilised to the area on Tuesday morning to halt the peaceful protest against police brutality and human rights violations.
At Apo car stand, suspected hoodlums set a car stand of more than 100 cars ablaze.

In Lagos, scores trying to beat the heavy traffic were attacked and robbed along Ikorodu Road as policemen were absent.
