Femi Fani-Kayode’s lawyer and his estranged wife, Precious Chikwendu are not in good terms as both have resorted to accusing one another of having ‘bipolar’ problem.
Fani-Kayode, Nigeria’s former Minister of Aviation and ex-wife who have gone their separate ways are locked up in a court case over the custody of their four children.
Precious who didn’t mention any name in an Instagram post she shared, wrote that “his lawyer just casually threw it that one of my sons has covid whilst having an argument in court as reasons why I won’t be allowed access to my kids.”
In anger, Ayodeji Sunday Ibikunle, Counsel to Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, fired back at his client’s ex-partner over claim of being told she can’t see her kids because one of them has COVID.
FFK’s lawyer stated that Precious is “suffering from bi-polar disorder, clinically unstable, mad as a hatter and is prone to telling monstrous lies and making delusional statements.”
Ibikunle who denied making such comment, maintained that they will be meeting in court and his client’s ex-partner will be ”exposed.”
The lawyer’s statement read, ”We are constrained to point out the fact that Miss Precious Chikwendu, the former partner of our client Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, Sadaukin Shinkafi, is suffering from bi-polar disorder and schizophrenia and we acknowledge the fact that she is totally insane.
”Ordinarily we cannot be expected to respond to the crass, filthy, delusional, salacious, disgraceful and absurd allegations of an insane person.
”We appreciate the fact that Precious is clinically unstable, is as mad as a hater and is prone to telling monstrous lies and making delusional statements.
”A glaring example of her degenerating mental state is the pernicious and specious lie and diabolical fabrication from the pit of hell that any of Chief Femi Fani-Kayode’s sons is suffering from COVID 19 or that any of them has head injuries. And neither is it true that his lawyers made any such claims in court or elsewhere.
”Precious Chikwendu, who has made these sinister and cruel claims about her own children, is not only heartless, dangerous and delusional but is also nothing but a pathological liar with a troubled and twisted mind that is in urgent need of medical attention.
”Other than to make the above clarification we will continue to ignore her rantings, falsehood and mendacious fabrications and to pray for her recovery.
”Meanwhile we will meet her in court where she will be exposed for who and what she is and what she suffers from.”

Reacting to the Lawyer’s statement, the mother of four wrote ”When you want to make press statements next time mr short fuse, be assured i will respond with pictures and video evidence. You are the one with bipolar.’’
”This is my son Liam and his left face is completely bruised. His lawyer physically insulted me in court yesterday and still unapologetic, i gave it back to him as he had got away with insulting me at the federal high court Apo several times in March, and April whilst i kept mute.
”He forgets he is but a messenger. All this aggression came up the moment the panel ruled that both lawyers should sit and fix dates and venue for me to see my kids this holiday.
”His lawyer refused to give his office address to my lawyer to enable us send a letter to this effect and that led to the argument that made his lawyer insult me who was minding my business o, over a conversation i was in no way involved in . When the panel inquired what was the reason for the arguments, his lawyer claimed i can’t be granted access as one of the sons has COVID.
”Mr short fuse has never been present to any court, be it on custody or customary court hearing since March, yet he is releasing statements in defense of his lawyer.
”I am a mother who is only interested in raising her kids and not dragging with a man who sees no value in respecting at least his over hyped past offices and records. Soon you would force me to release videos of the much damage you did.
