A one-time member of the House of Representatives who represented Abak Federal Constituency, Hon. Nkereuwem Okon Dan, has reportedly died.
Hon. Dan represented Abak Federal Constituency under the platform of the defunct Social Democratic Party (SDP) in the botched National Assembly in 1992.
It was gathered that the former Federal Lawmaker passed on few weeks ago after a brief illness and his remains would be committed to earth in December 2023.

Until his death, Hon. Dan was a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and had worked tirelessly to ensure the victory of APC during the recently concluded Presidential and National Assembly elections in Abak.
Meanwhile, groups and individuals have commiserated with the family on the passage of the departed parliamentarian into eternity.
Reacting to the incident, a former Transition Committee Chairman of Abak, Dr. Emmanuel Udosen described the death of Hon. Dan as sad, painful and unfortunate.
Dr. Udosen who is the All Progressives Congress (APC) Leader in Abak Local Government Area, noted that the death of the former Federal Lawmaker is a great loss, not only to the APC family, Abak Local Government Area, but also to Akwa Ibom State in general.
He prayed God to grant those he left behind the fortitude to bear the loss.
