Future Diplomats Corporation has showered love on the motherless, and used the forum to call on the Federal Government to expedite action on ending the worsening security situation in the country.
The State Coordinator of organisation, Ambassador Daniel Udom Job, who made the call on Monday during a visit to Mother Charles Walker Children Home, Anua, Nwaniba Road in Uyo Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State urged the government to ensure the safety of its citizens.
Job explained that their visit to the home during the commemoration of Nigeria’s 63rd Independence anniversary was to dole out items worth thousands of Naira to the motherless and to officially unveil the organization to the world.
The Coordinator who led executive members of the body to the motherless home urged the government to ensure the release of eight prospective corps members from Akwa Ibom kidnapped by bandits in Zamfara State on their way to Sokoto State for NYSC reorientation on August 17, 2023.
He used the opportunity to express love to humanity and to unveil the organization to Nigerians.

“To practicalise our love to humanity, we’re at the children’s home to present our widow’s mite to the children, as we officially unveil our organization to the Nigerians, during this Independence Day Celebration,” Job stated.
Food items, toiletries and other items were presented to the home.
Speaking further, Job said their members are task-oriented ambassadors, driven with a common interest, performing a variety of humanitarian services, bringing citizens’ concerns to governments, monitoring policies, and encouraging fair political participation at their community levels.
Future Diplomats Corporation founded by Ambassador Ernest Gibson is a model United Nations simulation, non-profit diplomatic organization, with headquarters in New York, USA with a mandate of preparing future diplomats to find lasting solutions to global issues.
Also speaking, National Officer, Ambassador Inimfon Umanah said Future Diplomats established in 48 nations in the world with more than 2,000 members in Nigeria, is made up of responsible men and women who are willing to defend the less privileged members of the society.
The former State Coordinator of the group said the group, though non-political, is willing to partner with government at levels to improve the socio-economic and political lives of Nigerian citizens, in line with 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations.
