    Gov Udom Returns 18 Commissioners, 2 Special Advisers

    Akwa Ibom State Governor, Mr. Udom Emmanuel has returned 17 former Commissioners, two special advisers and appointed two into the yet-to-be reconstituted State Executive Council.

    During the swearing in of the re-appointed Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Emmanuel Ekuwem, Emmanuel promised to re-appoint most members of the State Executive Council.

    Rt. Hon. Aniekan Bassey, the Speaker, Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Tuesday, read the list of Commissioners and Special Advisers-designate sent by the governor for clearance during the house plenary.

    The list of returned commissioners includes Akan Okon, Ime Ekpo, Uwemedimo Nwoko, Monday Uko, Linus Nkan, Ephraim Inyangeyen, Ekong Sampson and Charles Udoh.

    Others are Gloria Edet, Orman Esin, Iniobong Essien, Dominic Ukpong, Udo Ekpenyong, Uno Etim Uno, Nse Udo Essien, Rapheal Bassey, Victor Bassey Inoka and Prince Ukpong Akpabio.

    The two Special Advisers Sunny Ibuot and Ekemini Umoh have returned.

    The new commissioner-designate is Okpulupm Etteh.

    Speaking with Straightnews, Mr. Emmanuel Effiong, chief press secretary to the speaker confirmed that “the list is authentic and the speaker had read it on the floor of the house today (Tuesday).”
