The Catholic Priest of Auchi Diocese in Edo State, Rev. Father Christopher Osia, who was abducted by gunmen Sunday morning, has been reportedly killed.
The priest was kidnapped in Ikabigbo community of Etsako West Local Government Area of the state.
Fellow Catholic Priest, Fr Kelvin Ugwu, confirmed the killing in a post on his verified Facebook page on Sunday night.

He wrote, “Sad News: The priest of Auchi Diocese, Rev Fr Christopher Osia, that was kidnapped this morning the 26th of June 2022 on his way to mass has been killed.”
Details of the incident are sketchy as at the time of filing this report.
Recall that in May 2022, a Catholic priest, Rev. Father Joseph Aketeh Bako, abducted by terrorists in Kaduna, was killed.
