Israel has struck a key Iranian petrochemical facility in Asaluyeh, Israeli defence minister Israel Katz revealed.
Iranian media reported a number of production units have been damaged but no casualties have been reported.
The latest attack comes after US President Donald Trump warned of bigger strikes against Iranian infrastructure in an expletive-laden social media post
Trump said Tuesday will be “Power Plant Day and Bridge Day” if Iran does not reopen the Strait of Hormuz – a key choke point where around 20% of the world’s oil passes through
Meanwhile, strikes have continued across the Middle East and the Israel Defense Forces says it has killed the intelligence chief of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps.
And attacks continue across the region – including in Lebanon, where Israel accepts it killed the wrong people in a strike on Sunday.
