Two females among the abducted prospective National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, members have secured freedom.

Straightnews reported that the prospective corps members were kidnapped in Zamfara  State on their way to the orientation camp in Sokoto State four months ago.

The Nigerian Army had earlier secured the release of a male and a female victim, leaving four of the prospective corps members in the kidnappers’ confine.

The NYSC Director-General, Brigadier General YD Ahmed announced on Thursday that it has secured the freedom of two more victims, reassuring that the remaining victims would be released with the efforts of the security agencies.

Ahmed said the scheme would explore every available strategy that would ensure that they were freed from their captives unhurt and reunited with their families.

In a statement signed by Eddie Megwa, its Director of Press, NYSC hailed the Nigerian Army for its concerted efforts towards securing the release of the abductees.
