The hospitality industry in Akwa Ibom State has received a big boost as Majesty-Realm Hotels complex in Uyo unveiled a fully furnished state-of-the-art building for its teeming customers.

Owned by Majesty-Realm Hotels Limited, the new building is the latest block in the Majesty-Realm Hotel Complex, containing 56 rooms and suits.

Currently, the hotel which boasts of world-class facilities for recreation, relaxation and conferences has 106 beds.

Located at Plot 166, Lagos Street in the prestigious Ewet Housing Estate, Uyo, the hotel is complete with swimming pool, standard gymnasium, internet facilities, restaurant that can comfortably take 150 guests while the conference hall has a 400-seat capacity.

Addressing journalists at the new hotel conference room on Friday, March 18, Sir Udo H. Isobara, a board Director of the hotel said the hotel commenced business in 2001 with 10 rooms.

”By 2003, 30 more rooms were added and four years later, precisely in 2007, the hotel witnessed the second upgrade. A new block with suits was inaugurated and the end of 2018, the room capacity of the hotel had jumped to 50,’’ he  said.

In addition, Isobara said ”We also run commercial laundry services using some of the most modern machines in the industry… Our cuisines are rich and varied. We offer continental and Nigerian dishes with special indigenous Akwa Ibom delicacies peculiar to Majesty-Realms to satisfy the cultural diversity, taste and predilections of our guests.’’

The board member who later conducted journalists round the hotel facilities commended Union Bank PlC, Zenith Bank Plc, FCMB and First Bank for granting loans for the establishment and development of the hotel.

Isobara, therefore, invited Akwa Ibom community, Nigerians and foreigners to make Majesty-Realm Hotel their preferred destination.
