In line with COVID-19 guidelines, Nigeria Centre for Disease Control has made a big breakthrough with the discharge of 172 persons from four states in the country on Sunday.
“Our discharges today include 74 community recoveries in Kaduna State, 49 in Lagos State, 29 in Abia State and 20 in Plateau State managed in line with guidelines,” the centre stated in its Twitter handle.
This is as Nigeria recorded 418 new COVID-19 and three deaths from 16 states including Federal Capital Territory, NCDC has confirmed.
“On the 13th of December 2020, 418 new confirmed cases and 3 deaths were recorded in Nigeria.
“The 418 new cases are reported from 17 states- Lagos (113), FCT (86), Abia (47), Kaduna (39), Rivers (27), Katsina (22), Benue (14), Oyo (13), Kano (12), Enugu (8), Edo (7), Imo (7), Bauchi (6), Ebonyi (6), Ogun (6), Ondo (4), and Nasarawa (1),” it tweeted.
The caseloads, according to the health agency, of the pandemic show “Till date, 73,175 cases have been confirmed, 66,090 cases have been discharged and 1,197 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
“A multi-sectoral national emergency operations centre (EOC) activated at Level 3, continues to coordinate the national response activities,” NCDC added.
