Buba said the agency recovered cannabis that weighed 1,996 kilogramme comprising 34 compressed bags and 94 bags of dried weeds from the illegal warehouse.
The NDLEA boss attributed the discovery of the weeds and arrest of two suspects to hard work and intelligence report, assuring that efforts were being made to track other fleeing members of the drug cartel.
He said, “Working on intelligence reports, we successfully traced a major cannabis warehouse located in Ugbubezi forest; arrested two suspects who are currently undergoing interrogation.
“The command has spread its drag net to apprehend other members of cannabis cartel and other drug traffickers in Edo state”, just as he pleaded the agency’s readiness to stern the tide of trafficking and use of illicit drugs in the state.
