A United Kingdom court Wednesday spoiled the honeymoon of a Nigerian oil and gas engineer by sentencing him to a seven-year imprisonment for an alleged r*pe of an 18-year-old student in Aberdeen, Evening Express UK reported.

The man simply identified as Kufre Umoh Uwem, an Akwa Ibom-born man, who lavishly wedded in Uyo in December 2017, was also convicted of a second charge as he reportedly tried to r*pe another woman in her flat.

Uwem, residing at 34 of 6 Waterton Lawn, Stoneywood, Aberdeen, reportedly held the woman down against her will in his flat before going ahead to r*pe her.

His first victim was a first-year student whom he met by chance and invited to his flat where he defiled her and according to the young lady the r*pe had “a monumental impact on her life.”

Uwem’s second victim was attacked in her own home whom he removed her lower clothing with intent to r*pe her.

Both offences were committed on October 18, 2012, and October 30, 2016 at his flats in Aberdeen.

Judge Lord Arthurson told Uwem: “This was a course of violent and predatory s*xual offending, notwithstanding the four years between the two offences.”

Lord Arthurson told him: “The consequences are truly catastrophic for you. “Uwem, has an MSc in pipe engineering and has been placed on the s*x offenders’ register.
