The University of Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, in Nigeria has pepped up its academic powerhouse with the promotion of 55 as Professors and Associate Professors.
The Senate of the 30-year-old Federal institution has approved the promotions.
Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Enefiok Essien, SAN, announced the promotions during Senate meeting on Monday.
The officers are:

*Prof. Moji Eseyin
*Prof. Uwem Udok
*Prof. Aniesua Eshiet
*Prof. Elijah John
*Prof. Sylvester Eka
*Prof. Felicia Ekpu
*Prof. Godfrey Akpabio
*Associate Prof. Etefia Ekanem
*Associate Prof. Ubong Umoh
*Associate Prof. Grace Ekong
*Associate Prof. Udoinyang Inyang
*Associate Prof. Victor Ekong
*Associate Prof. Edu Inam
*Associate Prof. Akaninyene Antia
*Associate Prof. Ubong Essien Umoh
The university has 13 faculties,the postgraduate school and the school of continuing Education.
These are Agriculture, Arts, Basic Medical Sciences, Business Administration, Clinical Sciences, Education, Engineering, Environmental studies, Law, Science, Social Sciences, Pharmacy and Continuing Education.
