Nigeria’s COVID-19 has risen to 550 new cases in one day, according to Nigeria Centre for Disease Control.
Of the number from 16 states including FCT, Lagos State is leading with 219 while Federal Capital Territory and Kaduna have 168 and 52 cases respectively.
“On the 8th of December 2020, 550 new confirmed cases and 1 death was recorded in Nigeria.
“The 550 new cases are reported from 17 states- Lagos (219), FCT (168), Kaduna (52), Kwara (19), Kano (15), Rivers (15), Sokoto (10), Enugu(9), Gombe (8), Plateau (7), Osun (7), Anambra (5), Oyo (5), Jigawa (4), Ogun (4), Bauchi (2) and Edo (1),” NCDC tweeted.
According to the health agency, “Till date, 70,195 cases have been confirmed, 65,110 cases have been discharged and 1,182 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
“A multi-sectoral national emergency operations centre (EOC), activated at Level 3, continues to coordinate the national response activities.”
