Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie, has incurred the anger of his father, first wife and fans over secret marriage to a second wife.

This is coming shortly after it was reported that Yul who also is the immediate past Senior Special Adviser to ex-Anambra State Governor Willie Obiano had secretly paid bride price for Judy Austin, his second wife on Sunday.

Yul Edochie broke the internet on Wednesday, April 27, 2022, after sharing photos of his new baby with his side chick, Judy Austin, turned second wife.

Reacting to the report, Pete Edochie his father is allegedly not in good terms with his son Yul over his decision for a second wife.

The source added that Pete Edochie who is a veteran Nollywood actor did not support the whole affair, but he got no choice because they all must sustain Yul’s political ambition.

He expressed his great displeasure in a statement saying, “I want the whole world and Nigerians to understand that as an Igbo man, I never support my son’s actions and as a statesman, I only recognize his first wife, May, as the only authenticated wife of my son. The rest is banished from entering my household.”

He also stated that marrying two wives doesn’t confer a manly status on anyone.

He went further to say that he only recognises the first wife, May Edochie who his son married traditionally, having four children.

The septuagenarian also lamented that his son, Yul never listened to him since childhood.

According to him, “Right from when Yul was still a child, he never listened to me.

“I’m not shocked that he has a son without my knowledge. A child that doesn’t listen to his father ends up cutting his or her life span short.”

The first wife of Yul Edochie, May, seems to be cutting off ties with her husband.

In a swift reaction, his wife took to his comment section to pray for God’s judgement to fall on both of them.

“May God judge both of you,” his heartbroken wife wrote.

The mum of four has unfollowed her husband on the photo sharing app, Instagram.

A quick glance on her Instagram page shows that the number of people she was following has reduced by one.

There is no doubt that this is a heartbreaking time for the supportive wife who had stood by her husband for 17 years.

But, Nollywood actor, Yul has come out to clear the doubt of people thinking he married the second wife because his first wife was frustrating him.

According to an old post made by the actor, his wife never frustrated him in the 16years of their marriage, yet she supported him when things weren’t going well for him.

Yul recalled how his wife, May had suffered with him despite not having a sustainable job in the earlier stage of their marriage.

He also shared a photo of his first wife with the caption, ‘undisputed number 1.’

However, Uche Maduagwu, Nollywood actor tackling Yul said ”it is abomination for a Christian to marry two wives.”

Blessing CEO said ”if your husband married two wives and you cannot stay, leave.’’
