As part of the on-going dialogue and consultations between the All Progressives Congress, APC, and members of the aggrieved new People’s Democratic Party, nPDP, led by Alhaji Abubakar Kawu Baraje, the group will Monday meet with the Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, to further chat a way forward.

The outcome of the meetings with the Vice president and President Muhammad Buhari will determine whether members of the aggrieved nPDP in the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, will still stay in the party or consider other alternatives.

The meeting as scheduled will later take in the office of the President, Muhammadu Buhari where the grievances of the group are expected to be discussed, analyzed and resolved.

The group had earlier met with the leadership of the APC where the chairman of the party,  Chief John Odigie-Oyegun  who was represented by the deputy National Chairman (North) of the party, Senator Lawal Zuiabu, due to the absence of the chairman who was out of the country for medical check-up, had met with the aggrieved group.

Recall that another meeting also took place recently involving a larger number members of the APC and top chieftains of the party, including serving and former governors, National Assembly members where they considered three options that might be taken and a committee to fine tune their positions was constituted.

Speaking with newsmen in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital, Sunday, Alhaji Baraje confirmed the planned meeting with the Vice President and the President.

Baraje also commended members of the group and concerned Nigerians who shared the same view and concern about their plight in the party and the nation at large, especially their roles and sacrifices in the emergence of the ruling party in the country.

The nPDP leader said he hoped that at the end of Monday’s meeting and consultations with the Vice President and later with the President, all the aggrieved members of the group, the leadership of the party and the nation at large would come out stronger and more united in the general interest of the citizenry.

He said, “Already, we have an appointment with the Vice President, Professor Yemi Osibajo, Monday to further discuss our pending issues.

”It is also expected that the meeting will ultimately be shifted to President Muhammad Buhari, depending on how and when we are able to end tomorrow’s meeting.

”The next line of action of the group may depend on the outcome of the meeting which will  be either to still  remain in the APC or take other decisions.”
