    Akwa United, Wednesday, beat leaders FC IfeanyiUbah 1-0 in Uyo to extend their unbeaten streak to five games.

    Mfon Udoh scored the decisive goal five minutes from the break at Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo. It was the former Enyimba striker sixth goal of the campaign.

    Akwa United have 15 points to be placed third position in Group B from nine matches played so far with one outstanding match.

    MFM extended their unbeaten run in Group A of the NPFL to four games following a comfortable 2-0 home win against Sunshine Stars in their match day 10 encounter at the Agege Stadium on Wednesday, reports Completesports.com

    Adeniji Kabir and Micheal Ohanu got the goals for the Olukoya Boys in the thrilling encounter.

    Fidelis Ikechukwu ‘ s men also maintained top spot in the log with 18 points from eight matches.

    Enyimba moved to second position in the group after edging out Katsina United 2-0 in Aba.

    Ifeanyi Anaemena opened scoring for the home team from the spot in the 35th minute, while Abdulrahmam Bashir doubled the lead on the hour mark.

    Katsina United finished the game with nine men after the duo of Chinedu Ajanah and Dominic Abba were sent off for bookable offences.

    Champions Lobi Stars survived a big scare at home securing a nervy 2-1 home win against Remo Stars at the Aper Aku Stadium, Makurdi.

    Yaya Kone netted both goals for the hosts with Sunday Williams on target for the visitors.

    Former Super Eagles forward Micheal Uchebo grabbed a goal and assist in Enugu Rangers 2-1 win against Wikki Tourists at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu.

    Uchebo put Rangers ahead on the hour mark and teed up Godwin Aguda for the second 12 minutes from time.

    Abba Umar pulled a goal back for Wikki four minutes from time but the away side were unable to mount a comeback.

    In Benin, Bendel Insurance and Rivers United battled to a 1-1 draw.

    Mike Ugwu gave Insurance the lead on 13 minutes, while Ossy Martins levelled scores for the visitors four minutes after the break.

    Kwara United also enjoyed a comfortable evening at the Ilorin Township Stadium recording a 2-0 win against struggling Niger Tornadoes.

    Nosiru Afeez and Lukman Binuyo were the goalscorers for the Harmony Boys.

    El Kanemi Warriors continued their impressive run with a 2-0 home win against Heartland. Ba’a kaka Kolo and Innocent Gabriel were both on target for the Maiduguri club in the game.

    It was the same story in Kano where Kano Pillars who pipped Abia Warriors 2-0.

    Crowd favourites, Mohammed Gambo and Rabiu Ali got the goals fur the Sai Masu Gida.

    Former champions, Plateau United suffered a shocking 1-0 home loss to Kada City in Jos with Sadiq Suleiman netting the winning goal nine minutes from time.

    Go Round also secured a 1-0 away win against Gombe United at the Pantami Stadium.

    Henry Ochuba seventh minute strike separated both sides in the game.

    Nasarawa United defeated Yobe Desert Stars 1-0 in Lafia with Isah Ndda scoring the winner in the 43rd minute.

    Yobe Desert Stars are now without a win in their last five league games
