As the 2027 general elections draw closer, Nsit Atai Chapter of National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) has pledged to support the re-election of President Bola Tinubu and Governor Umo Eno.
The chapter also pledged its support towards the implementation of the Governor’s ARISE Agenda aimed at holistic development of the state.
Making the pledge when members of the body paid the state Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs, Princess Emem Ibanga a courtesy visit on Saturday 4 April, the NYCN Coordinator, Nsit Atai Chapter, Comrade Ndianabasi Nkpounam Bassey, said the re-election would help them to complete ongoing development projects in the overall interest of the populace.

Bassey, who used the occasion to unveil the 2026 Action Plan of NYCN, thanked the Commissioner for her anticipated support to the body, seeking collaboration in the implementation of their action plan.
The visit was aimed at reinforcing alignment with Governor Umo Eno’s ARISE Agenda in youth welfare, security, and social stability.

He commended Princess Ibanga for according them warm reception and her commitment to the body towards ensuring unity, empowerment, and civic participation of youths in public affairs.
The Coordinator outlined the Council’s planned activities to include social engagement, enlightenment campaigns, and advocacy against youth thuggery, electoral malpractices, and social vices. Emphasis was placed on supporting skills acquisition programmes introduced by Governor Eno.

Princess Ibanga thanked the Youth Council’s members for their cooperation with the government, reaffirming the state Governor’s commitment to youth development through the ARISE Agenda.
She encouraged the youths to key into the ARISE Agenda programme to enable them to pursue and benefit from their entrepreneurial skills .

She pledged her commitment to include the Youth Council in the ministry’s future programmes, and thanked the delegation for the visit.

The Chief Executive Officer of Eminence Group, Obong Emmanuel Okon and a one-time Leader, Nsit Atai Legislative Council, Hon. Owoedimo George also pledged support to the re-election, and programmes of the State government, calling on people to respect and show positive conduct to constituted authorities.

Earlier, the Vice Chairman of Uyo Senatorial District, Comrade Ubong Amanam, had praised Princess Ibanga for her leadership, and assured galvanise support for youths’ body.
