The Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) has bagged the 2024 Overall Best Performing Parastatal SERVICOM Unit (PSU), together with the 2024 Best Performing PSU, Team B Awards.

A press release signed by Mrs Olaide Shonola, Head, Public Affairs and Corporate Communication said the Commission got the significant recognition at the 2024 SERVICOM MDAs’ Awards held in Abuja on Wednesday, December 17, 2024.

Engr. Gbenga Komolafe, the NUPRC’s Chief Executive (CCE), was honored with a Recognition Award for his commitment to citizen-centered service delivery.

In addition to the awards, Mrs. Ann Ihuoma Dozie-Enukora from the NUPRC SERVICOM Unit emerged as the 2024 Overall Best Performing Nodal Officer and the 2024 Best Performing Nodal Officer, PSU Team B, awards.

In all, the Commission received four top awards and an Executive Recognition. The NUPRC’s SERVICOM Unit was commended for its 100% commitment to service delivery, underscoring the Commission’s consistent dedication to excellence in public service.

This year’s awards reflect NUPRC’s ongoing commitment to quality service delivery, a commitment that has been recognised in previous years as well.

In 2022 and 2023, Engr. Komolafe was hailed by SERVICOM for his leadership in enhancing customer-focused service delivery. The Commission was also awarded the SERVICOM Partnership Award in 2023.

Mrs. Nnenna Akajemeli, National Coordinator and CEO of SERVICOM, praised Engr. Komolafe for his dedication to improving service delivery within the NUPRC.

Emphasising the importance of ensuring that Nigerians receive timely and quality services from their government, Akajemeli acknowledged the NUPRC SERVICOM Unit for its sustained efforts in delivering excellent customer service.

In October this year, the Commission was honoured as the Best Federal Ministry, Department and Agency (MDA) in Digital Transformation at the 2024 Nigeria GOVTECH Conference and Awards.

The Commission’s Chief Executive (CCE), Engr Gbenga Komolafe, received the Distinguished Trailblazer Award at the event.

The NUPRC has demonstrated its commitment to effective service delivery through initiatives such as full automation of statutory approvals and work processes.

Engr. Komolafe noted that adhering to the SERVICOM charter will further enhance timely and efficient job outputs, reinforcing the Commission’s role as a lead regulatory agency in Nigeria’s oil and gas sector.
