They described the departed as their ‘earthly god,’ adding that it would be difficult to find a man in his like manner who pay their children’s schools fees, pay their rents, cater for their upkeeps and many other things.
They said that the late Apostle Etim was everything to them, and prayed for God to accept his soul.
In his sermon, the Akwa Ibom State Chairman of CAN, Bishop Christian Nyong said Apostle Tom was not dead, which according to him, God only decided to take him home for a closer relationship.

According to him, “Nobody has the monopoly of giving life to anyone. But how prepared are you? Death can penetrate anywhere to get whoever it wishes. The best choice in life is for you to have a good relationship with God. Death is a messenger and it has no respecter of any man. What you do with your life determines where it will take you to.”
