He assured to make the engagement an annual exercise, complemented by visits to the institutions where the beneficiaries are studying.
According to him, he met with two of two scholars- Nsikakabasi Nseyen and Emem Itoro Ekwere – in the University of Portsmouth to assess their progress and encourage them to keep striving for excellence, stating ‘‘Next year’s visit will be to another institution.’’

During the interaction, the Chairman of House Committee on Public Procurement charged them to take their studies seriously, aim to break records, distinguish themselves in their chosen fields, and become worthy ambassadors of Ukanafun/Oruk Anam Federal Constituency, Akwa Ibom State, and Nigeria.
‘‘This initiative goes beyond securing foreign degrees. It is about raising a generation of knowledgeable, confident and accomplished individuals who will bring their expertise home, contribute to national development, and inspire others to dream bigger,’’ idem added.
