The Special Anti-Cultism Squad (SPACS), Anambra Police Command, said it had arrested two siblings, Njideka and Chiemeka Onyebukpo, and six others in connection with alleged cult activities. The other suspects are: Chidinma Arinze, Ezedindu Chidubem, Chinedu Chukwuka, Chinedu Ikediaso, Nwabueze Ifechukwu and Arinze Obinka.
Briefing newsmen in Enugu-Ukwu, the Commander of the squad, Mr Christopher Bassey, said the suspects were arrested on Tuesday in Ihiala, Ihiala Local Government Area of the state. Bassey advised parents to monitor activities of their children, and appealed to members of the public to provide information that could lead to arrest of suspected cultists and criminals in the society. The commander said that the suspects would be arraigned in court after completion of investigation.
