    Sympathisers Sad During Funeral Mass For 3 Rev Sisters In Anambra

    Sympathisers were struck with grief as coffins and laminated pictures of three Reverend sisters of Immaculate Heart of Mary, Nkpor in Anambra State were publicly displayed during a funeral mass for repose of their souls.

    The remains of Reverend Sisters- Virginia, Calasantics and Lilia- in Onitsha Catholic Archdiocese were later committed to earth Monday after the mass officiated by the Auxiliary Bishop of Onitsha Archdiocese, Most Reverend Dennis Isizo.

    Rev. Sister Mary Virginia Onuorah (1943-2020) who had her first and final profession in 1975 and 1982 respectively died from a brief illness on April 24, 2020,

    Rev. Sister Mary Calasantics Nkemakolam (1949-2020) who had her first and final profession in 1969 and 1981 respectively, died on April 26, 2020. Rev. Sister Mary Lilia Indigo (1945-2020) who had her first and final profession in 1969 and 1980 respectively, died recently.

    Among sympathisers at the ceremony were Anambra State Governor Willie Obiano and wife, Dr. Ebelechukwu; Chief Staff to the governor, Chief Primus Odili; the traditional ruler of Aguleri, Igwe Mike Idigo, among others.
