In what looked bizarre, passers-by in Ogba area of Lagos were shocked seeing two dead bodies in a car parked in a lonely spot.
Though nobody could explain what caused the death of the two adults-male and female, eye witnesses described them as lovers who were reportedly drove to an area behind the Nigeria Institute of Journalism (NIJ) for sex.
One of the eye witnesses alleged that the lady was a married woman with children, while the man was her lover, observing that they might probably have engaged in sex romp before the tragedy struck.
“By the time passers-by saw them, the car engine was still running and the air conditioner was on and working, indicating they did not die of suffocation,” one of them testified.
The witnesses raised alarm and reported to the police area command in Ogba whose officials arrived promptly.
When the reporter contacted, the Lagos State Police Command Public Relations Officer, Olarinde Famous-Cole, said the corpses had been taken to the mortuary, confirming “Yes it is true. And when information got to the area command, our men raced to the scene, and conveyed the corpses to the mortuary.”
