The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), Uyo and District Society for the 2023/2024 Chairmanship year is headed by Mr. Udo Sam Umoatan.
Umoatan is a one-time International President of Mboho Mkparawa Ibibio, former Chairman of Mkpat Enin Local Government Area, Elder in Qua Iboe Church and a Fellow, Chartered Accountants (FCA).
The 10-man executive was elected at the Annual General Meeting of the body on May 25, 2023 at Bezaleel Event Center, State House of Assembly Road, Uyo.
Mr. Edidem Okon Utuk, FCA is the Vice Chairman; Mr. Enefiok Peter, FCA, Deputy Vice Chairman; Mr. Ifiok Okon Udo, FCA, General Secretary; Mr. Anietie Sunday Ekpo, ACA, Treasurer.
Others were Mr. Iberedem Senam, ACA is the Assistant Secretary; Mrs. Affiong Imaikop Ewang, ACA, Financial Secretary; Mrs. Sennie Ndianabasi Udofia, ACA, Welfare Secretary; Mr. Itoho-Owo Pedro Obot, ACA, Membership Secretary while Mr. Emmanuel E. Essien, ACA serves as the Technical Secretary.
Mr. Godwin Owonam, FCA, the outgone Chairman of the body had commended the members for giving him the opportunity to serve them.
Meanwhile, the elected officers of the body will be inaugurated on June 24, this year.
Similarly, election of new officers will hold during the Zonal District Biennial General Meeting of ICAN Uyo and District Society at Edinan Hotels & Suites, off Aka Etinan Road, Ikot Akpan Abia, Uyo on Saturday, June 10.
