The top scorer in the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), Kamsiyochukwu Umeh, has gotten a  smashing West African Senior School Certificate Examination result.

The 16-year-old student of Deeper Life High School, Mowe, Ogun State bagged a cumulative score of 360 in the 2023 UTME.

In her 2023 WASSCE result just released, she got an A1 in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, Further Mathematics, Economics, Civic Education, Computer Studies and Dyeing and Bleaching, and a B2 in Physics.

Umeh has already received several awards including a scholarship from Anambra state government. She also received a cash prize of N2.5m from the Chief Executive Officer of Erisco Foods Limited, Chief Eric Umeofia, among others.

Babajide Otito-ju, Group Managing editor in TVC News, Lagos, has felicitated with her over the outstanding WASC result.

‘‘Congratulations, my daughter Kamsiyochukwu Ugochinyere Precious Umeh, the UTME Most Valuable Player for nailing your West African School Certificate Examination. Her dad, Uzonna, broke this piece of good news to me this morning

‘‘Eight A1s out of nine subjects, just one B2 in Physics. Kamsi avenged her low score (by her own high standards) in English in JAMB (UTME) with an emphatic A1 in English (this time) in the WAEC-organised exam.

‘‘Kamsi is a child of grace, a veritable genius. She has shown that her exceedingly impressive UTME result was no fluke. Go and conquer the world, lovely gal!’’ Otitu-ju wrote in his Facebook page.
