Governor Umo Eno has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to laying a solid foundation for the future of Akwa Ibom children.

Receiving pupils of King’s Kids Christian Montessori School, Uyo, in his office during a guided tour of Government House, Uyo on Friday, March 13, 2026, Eno said he made time to receive the pupils despite his busy schedule owing to his deep passion and love for children.

The Governor noted that it is the responsibility of government to provide a secure and peaceful environment for its citizens, as well as a safe and supportive academic atmosphere that fosters a strong educational foundation and enables children to excel in their studies.

“We are here to receive you, most importantly because I pay particular attention to children. The truth is that you are the future of the world. What you see and what you do today has a way of leaving a lasting impression on you.

“Our job is to make sure that you have a secure environment and a peaceful State where you can read your books and concentrate on your studies,” he said.

The Governor hoped the visit would inspire the pupils, and enjoined them to study hard and grow into responsible future leaders, assuring them that his administration is working diligently to build a legacy that will enable them realise their dreams and aspirations.

“I hope this visit will motivate and inspire you to study hard. We are giving our today because of your tomorrow, so that we can build a lasting legacy for you to grow.

“We are working here to ensure that we maintain peace and order and also see to the welfare of all Akwa Ibomites. That is why your parents voted for us and sent us here to serve everyone,” he added.

Governor Eno commended the teachers for their dedication, guidance, and commitment to nurturing the pupils, describing them as worthy role models.

During the visit, the children who were conducted around the Governor’s office, got a firsthand look at the workings of Government House.
