The euphoria that greeted the appointment and subsequent swearing in of Commissioners and Special Advisers by Governor Udom Emmanuel dimmed as some were said to be jolted by the protfolios given to them.
While some retained what policy analysts see as juicy ministries owing to the volume of projects and cash flow, others who oversaw juicy ones in the first term of the present administration were assigned what the analysts describe as less juicy ministries while a few who were in charge of less juicy ones are in-charge of juicy ones now.
Of the 19 ministries, the analysts see 16 as juicy ministries depending on the attention the governor gave in the first term in office which may be replicated in his second term in office while three are seen as less juicy ones. Of the bureau, one is juicy in a busy political season while another is less juicy.
The juicy ministries include Economic Development and Ibom Deep Seaport, Lands & Water Resources, Education, Justice, Youths and Sports, Finance, Works, Environment and Petroleum Resources.
Others are Information, Special Duties, Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Science and Technology, Health, Agriculture and Women Affairs, Transport and Solid Minerals and Housing.
The less juicy ones are Culture and Tourism, Trade and Investment as well as Labour and Manpower Planning.
Political & Legislative Affairs Bureau is juicy while Rural Development and Cooperatives is less juicy.
